Our Connect Team is committed to welcoming and helping people get connected to our FBC community. From the parking lot to the seat in the worship center, we desire to offer a great experience. Our main goal is to create a warm and welcoming environment where every person feels seen, valued, and connected. We give golf cart rides from the parking lot to our entrances, greet each person with a smile and provide them with various forms of printed communications, help families check in at the kid building, and more! Our First B Kids ministry is a vital part of our mission to help all people find and follow Jesus together. We strive to provide an environment that is exciting for the kids while showing them God’s love. Like so much at First Blairsville, our kids ministry is quickly growing. That growth means the need for volunteers that see the importance of reaching the kids in our community is growing as well. Just like with our First B Kids ministry, we believe our First B Students are not the “next” generation, they’re the generation to reach now. Our students are constantly challenged by the world on what’s right and what’s not. Students are looking for a loving, exciting, genuine environment where they feel noticed. This is exactly what our student ministry strives to provide through games, authentic worship, biblical teaching delivered in an engaging format, and small group times where deeper relationships with their peers and leaders are nurtured. Our adult leaders are an important part of providing this environment for all students that step on our campus. Without the passion and love our leaders have for students, First B Students would not be able to fulfill our church’s mission of helping all people find and follow Jesus together. Worship is a core part of why God created us. We’re made to worship God in everything we do in our daily lives, which includes corporate worship with our brothers and sisters in Christ here at First Blairsville. Our worship services on Sunday morning are our regular gatherings of believers where we worship God together. During these worship services, volunteer musicians use their gifts to help lead our church in giving praise to God. While the media team is rarely seen within a service, our media volunteers are a crucial part in leading the congregation in worship, like the worship teams. Our media team is behind the scenes ensuring those leading on stage can be seen and heard, whether in person, at home, or across the world. Our First Blairsville media team have positions for people with all levels of technological knowledge. Whether you consider yourself a technology guru or not, the media team is a great place to take that next step of serving. Are you skilled with a broom or a vacuum? Can you wipe dust from a shelf with a rag? Can you slap paint on walls…neatly? Are you one of those people who like everything neat and organized; a place for everything and everything in its place? Can you scale the heights of a 6’ ladder to change a light bulb? Can you swing a hammer without smashing a finger? Can you tell the difference between a nail and a screw? If you can do any of these things, the Facilities Ministry Team might be your place to serve. The truth is, we grow as we serve the Lord together and our large facility offers a lot of opportunities to serve and grow. Volunteer as an individual, a couple, or a group. Commit to one day, or to one day a week, or to whatever fits your schedule.
