Day 6 in Vancouver π¨π¦
We started the morning serving at the Acadia Food Hub, a community program on the UBC campus that provides groceries and baby supplies for families in need. It was encouraging to see how local organizations partner to care for its community.
Our team helped set up the food bank, unpacking boxes and filling bags with lentils, chickpeas, and other pantry staples. As families picked up supplies, we offered coffee, hot chocolate, and donuts β small comforts that made it easy to connect and share conversation.
Many expressed gratitude and shared bits of their stories. It was a reminder that serving isnβt only about providing food but also about offering kindness and encouragement. God was present in the simple things β a smile, a warm drink, or a few moments spent listening.
After wrapping up at the Food Hub, our team took time to rest and prepare for the evening, thankful for another opportunity to serve and reflect on how even ordinary acts can show extraordinary love.
