January 5th - January 25th

“But forget all that—it is nothing compared to what I am going to do. For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.”
-Isaiah 43:18-19-

The 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting is a dedicated time to seek God’s guidance, grow in faith, and experience spiritual renewal. Over these three weeks, we invite you to pray for your own spiritual growth and for the growth and impact of our church. Fasting and prayer help us focus on God, open our hearts to His leading, and position us to witness His faithfulness in new and remarkable ways.

Fasting is about more than giving up food. It is a catalyst for spiritual growth that helps us focus on God and His purposes. When we fast, our hearts and minds are opened to His truth, and we are better able to hear His voice. Fasting shifts our focus from ourselves to God and prepares us to experience the new things He wants to do in our lives and in our church.

Prayer is simply talking with God, and Scripture guides us in how to approach Him. Jesus teaches us to pray with honesty and humility, seeking God’s will above our own (Matthew 6:9-13). We can pray with thanksgiving, confessing our sins (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, 1 John 1:9), and interceding for others (1 Timothy 2:1-2). Before you begin, it can be helpful to remove distractions, such as setting your phone aside, and consider using a journal to write your prayers and record the impressions God places on your heart. Over these 21 days, you are invited to pray not only for your own growth but also for wisdom, courage, and boldness as God works in our church and community.

You can use our 21-day guide below to help structure your prayer and fasting each day. Each day includes Scripture to read, prompts for prayer, and suggestions for fasting. You do not have to do everything perfectly. Just commit to seeking God intentionally and following along with the daily readings and reflections. The guide is designed to help you grow spiritually, focus on God, and experience what He wants to do in your life and in our church.
